Women Empowerment

Happy Sunday everyone. I trust you’re all well and the back to school chaos is over and everyone is settling into their new routines.

I thought I’d spend my time this week drafting my thoughts on women empowerment and what it means to me. I'm keen to share these thoughts with you as it’s something I’m extremely passionate about. Over the year's women empowerment has gotten a lot of good and bad attention from social media, we’re surrounded by women’s rights and female empowerment groups. With the #MeToo Movement shaking the world at its core and give women more of a voice and platform to speak than ever, it seems as though, finally for women around the world, the glass ceiling is finally starting to be broken, or at least chipped away at.

But when trying to explain female empowerment, I feel that it is really important to share the genuine opinion of women. In this way we allow the female voice to become louder and more powerful and reveal the reality of the female experience. We cannot look to celebrities, authors or women who have a platform or following to always speak for us. We need to express our own experiences, our own understandings and share them with like-minded people and keep the conversation going.

Female empowerment means enjoying and engaging in a global sisterhood that is inclusive and highly supportive of each other online and offline, fighting together for equality and standing up for each other, and of course, celebrating each other to the fullest. 100%.

We need to understand our power and understand that in a world full of inequality, we are all equal and if we put our mind to it, we can do anything!

Women strengthening women, encouraging and inspiring one another. It’s about being true to each other and yourself, it’s about knowledge, curiosity, kindness and being brave to go against what one was taught it means redefining beauty, power and womanhood.

Women have the opportunity to increase their female power to develop their full potential and create their life according to their own ideas and wishes.

To make our own choices and decisions with a sense of self-worth, respect and dignity, lt means also trusting them to choose by themselves what is best.

As you all know, reading is a passion of mine and reading about female empowerment is a second passion of mine. So I’m going to share my favourite with you in the form of a reading list, all of the books can be bought on Amazon, Waterstones and any other major literature outlets.
